Caramia is the cowardly lion and once he regains his courage his personality is going to change drastically. Apologies for the dissonance.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

NAME: Caramia
CANON: Ozmafia!!
CANON REFERENCE: Here
CANON POINT: The night before the meteor shower gathering
CRAU HISTORY: N/A
AGE: Unknown, but definitely an adult
APPEARANCE:

CONTRACT PAYMENT: It's been so very long (The game implies a couple centuries) that Caramia no longer clearly recalls the events of that fateful journey in the land of Oz. In particular, he no longer remembers the little girl that was the catalyst for that entire journey (Although he does notice that Fuka's scent is similar.) Or what happened after that or how he, the scarecrow and the tin man wound up in their current situation. There are in game reasons beyond just the passage of time but Caramia doesn't know that. Either way, he's asking for those memories to be restored.

QUESTIONNAIRE:
What does family mean to you and who do you consider a part of your family?

This is one crucial area where the advent of courage did not change his personality much. Family is extremely important to Caramia and it has nothing to do with blood relations. The people who stand by you, support you, tell you off for your failures but then pull you back up again, that is your family. The Tin Man and Scarecrow are still with him after all this time and it's not about mutual benefit but about the kind of bond that forms when you chase unrealistic dreams together. Caramia also tells Fuka that he considers everyone in the Oz territory to be an extended family and he takes his responsibility to them very seriously.

Honestly the only real difference between with courage and without is how successful he is when trying to support the people he cares about. As a coward he's gentle and better at emotional support and his genuine admiration for the people around him can be useful in bolstering someone's confidence. With courage he becomes a lot more reliable and is better at being a calming influence, acting as an emotional anchor for the people he's supporting. Courage also brings out a protective streak in him.

Your Faction leader, not just your boss but the leader, has asked you to carry out a hit. The target is a non-affiliated public leader, well-liked by the people of the city. Do you carry it out? Why or why not?

My goodness the faction must be in desperate shape if they're asking this of Caramia before giving him back his courage. First he'll ask if they're joking, and then plead for them to come to their senses and send someone else. Anyone else. And then probably cry. If they pushed the issue he would be too intimidated to outright refuse them but would never actually get the job done. Every time he approached the target, he'd be too scared to pull it off.

A courageous Caramia isn't put off by the violence or danger but will want to know why this person must be eliminated. And if there's a good reason, such as they violated an agreement and this is punishment or their policies have dangerous implications for the faction (or, more importantly, the civilians who live in the faction's territory) then yes. He kills them. No hesitation and no remorse. If the reasoning is petty, such as the boss just plain doesn't like the guy, then he argues against it. He might still be convinced, depending on the specific grievance or how much he trusts the leader of his faction.

What is your favorite diversion? Hobbies, indulgences, vices? Would you put off important things for that diversion, or would you be more strict about how you spend your time and/or money?

In his natural state the Cowardly Lion likes safe hobbies. Especially the ones you can do without leaving your house. He likes to read, enjoys cooking, and also gardening when there aren't too many bugs. Because bugs are scary. Butterflies are okay though. He tells Fuka that he doesn't think butterflies are scary at all. Also naps in the sunshine. Which probably doesn't qualify as a hobby but lions sleep 16 hours a day and Caramia never got completely over that despite the human form.

And even with his courage he still enjoys all of these things just.. more adventurously. Now he can read horror stories or deal with bees. Cooking and napping remain basically the same. Although to this list we can add sparring and target practice. Kyrie made him learn to use a sword and, even though his preferred weapon for an actual fight is a gun, he does enjoy a good melee. He and Pashet meet up to spar with each other quite often.

In either case he does not put off important things for these hobbies. He's actually got a pretty strong sense of responsibility with or without courage.

An oni of the Shuten Clan has gone completely berserk, and is going on a violent rampage through the city. You can't stop him, but you CAN lead him elsewhere, but you only have two choices: a road by a discotheque with a large crowd in front, or the nearby park that you do not know is unoccupied, and may have children present. What do you choose, and why?

Without courage Caramia panics completely and runs straight for the discotheque in the hopes that someone in that large crowd will be strong enough to beat this guy. There's a lot of strong people in the city, right? A large crowd is likely to contain at least one of them. Right?

And with courage Caramia selects the park, but also tries to stall and take the long way around as much as possible. This is to give him enough time to signal an ally to go on ahead and clear the park of civilians. Shooing away a handful of children will be faster than redirecting a big crowd of people and the park will provide an area with less potential collateral damage. And for the record once he does lead the rampaging oni there he absolutely tries to fight him. Whether he can win or not. Magical courage sounds great on paper but it plays havoc with your sense of self preservation.

POWERS & ABILITIES: As far as supernatural abilities go, Caramia is a lion who was granted a human form and magical courage by a wizard. Lions are stronger and more agile than humans and have better senses and Caramia is not an exception. Obviously he's starting here without his courage and the enhanced physical and sensory abilities. He's still decently strong and quick, just not on the level he used to be.

Also the world he lived in was created from stories, fables, and fairy tales and the characters in it who are based on specific fairy tale personages or archetypes(such as the big bad wolf, puss in boots, the little match girl, etc.) are extremely long lived and very tough to kill. They can take a lot of punishment before they go down. Obviously this is going away too.

Mundane skills! Caramia is very good at fighting. He's great with guns but is also an excellent hand to hand fighter, and can also use a sword but thats not a style he prefers. He's also intelligent and a decent strategist who, when he has courage, is capable of making sensible snap decisions in difficult situations. Not having the courage doesn't make him stupid, but the lack of confidence that comes with it makes it very hard for him to make decisions.

Also he is very good at cooking.

SUITABILITY: Caramia comes from a canon that already includes violence, crime, drugs, and sex. The city he was in might have been a little more peaceful but this is not a far step. That said without his courage the first few months are going to be rough. He'll manage, but only just barely. Once he gets his courage back though he'll be fine. Probably even thrive.

FACTION SUITABILITY: Okay before I get into this I want to make it clear that Caramia without his courage is not likely to be particularly useful to any faction. Once he gets it back though he'll easily be an asset in any one of them.

Shuten: Caramia also keeps to a fairly strict honor code and is straightforward and honest in his dealings. (To the point that his more pragmatically minded consigliere insists on handling any monetary negotiations.) He also takes responsibility to the community very seriously. And also he's a very good fighter who, once he gets that courage back, is more or less fearless.

Without courage this is the faction he would be the least useful to. He's intelligent and has some experience running an organized crime syndicate so if they need anyone on the administrative side of things he can help with that.

Tamamo: He's a really good cook so if they have controlling interest in restaurants he could help out there. With or without his courage he would be laughably bad at anything resembling sex work. He's good looking but is entirely too awkward about that kind of thing.

He would probably do okay in the hospitality aspect of their business and, again, once he gets his courage back could act as a bouncer or enforcer.

Sutoku: Honestly, despite being intelligent, Caramia would have a hard time in this faction initially. Without courage it would be so easy for information to be intimidated out of him which would certainly lead to a lot of problems in a faction that prizes secrets.

Cat cafe though. He wouldn't mind working there. It seems relatively safe.

With courage though they could do a lot more with him. He's a good mediator with a lot of experience handling tense factional strife. And again, solid fighter so that's honestly a plus almost anywhere. He also absolutely believes that the strong have a duty to protect and aid the weak rather than consume them.

Enma: Without his courage they'd better just give him a desk job. Or have him work in the library or something. He likes to read. He would do just fine with something like that and he would keep his head down, do his job and respect the system because it seems like very scary people would be angry with him if he didn't.

And after getting his courage back he both becomes more useful and potentially slightly more problematic. While now they could make use of his combat skills and fearless attitude there are limits to what kind of action he would take and towards whom. The system wouldn't justify anything that would harm civilians for example. They aren't part of these factional battles and should kept out of it as much as possible.
